Qatar Telecom (Qtel) Q.S.C. is a Qatar-based provider of domestic and international telecommunication services to residential and business users in Qatar, and wireless telecommunication services in Asia, and in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The Company offers landline, mobile, cable television and Internet services to personal users and businesses. Its products cover standard telephone lines and data services, such as integrated services digital network (ISDN) and asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL), international leased digital circuits, Internet leased circuits, telex communication services, packet switching, very small aperture terminal (VSAT) and facsimile services. It also provides global system for mobile communication (GSM) services, and wireless value-added services, such as messaging and roaming. The Company operates through a number of wholly owned subsidiaries and joint ventures.
