Women who want to connect with bargain-priced fashions shop at DOTS. The chain operates about 420 value-priced women's clothing, footwear, and accessory stores in nearly 30 states, mostly along the East Coast and in the Midwest. The stores, which target women between the ages of 25 and 35, sell low-priced fashion apparel and accessories for the junior, misses, and plus-size markets. The fast-growing company has been opening new stores in some big markets, including Florida, Georgia, and Texas. DOTS has plans for continued national expansion, including California and New York eventually. Founded in 1987, DOTS is owned by private equity firm Irving Place Capital.
