Women who want to connect with bargain-priced fashions shop at DOTS. The chain operates about 400 value-priced women's clothing, footwear, and accessory stores in more than 25 states, mostly along the East Coast and in the Midwest. The stores, which target women between the ages of 25 and 35, sell low-priced fashion apparel and accessories for the junior, misses, and plus-size markets. The fast-growing company has been opening new stores in some big markets, including Florida, Georgia, and Texas. Founded in 1987, DOTS filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2014 amid declining sales. The chain is owned by the private equity firm Irving Place Capital.
