Description

Devon Energy Corporation (Devon) is an independent energy company engaged primarily in oil and gas exploration, development and production, the acquisition of producing properties, the transportation of oil, gas and natural gas liquids and the processing of natural gas. Devon owns oil and gas properties principally in the United States and Canada and, to a lesser degree, various regions located outside North America, including Azerbaijan, Brazil and China. The Company also owns properties in West Africa. In addition to its oil and gas operations, Devon has marketing and midstream operations primarily in North America. These include marketing natural gas, crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs), and constructing and operating pipelines, storage and treating facilities and gas processing plants. In June 2008, the Company announced the completion of the sale of its oil and gas business in Equatorial Guinea by GEPetrol.
