Dresdner Kleinwort offers an array of investment banking services to corporate, institutional, and government clients. The firm provides capital markets, corporate advisory, risk management, lending, as well as research services focusing on equities, corporate and emerging-market debt, derivatives, and money market products. Dresdner Kleinwort is active mainly in Germany and the UK, but operates more than 50 offices on five continents. German banking group Commerzbank bought the 40% of Dresdner Bank and its Dresdner Kleinwort division it didn't already own from German insurer Allianz in 2009 for some E5 billion ($6.7 billion), mostly in the form of shares.
