Description

Eaton Vance Floating-Rate Income Trust (the Trust) is a closed-end management investment company. The Trust's investment objective is to provide a high level of current income. Its secondary objective is preservation of capital. The Trust invests at least 80% of its total assets in senior, secured floating-rate loans. Its portfolio includes senior floating-rate interests, corporate bonds and notes, convertible preferred stocks, asset backed securities, closed-end investment companies and short-term investments. The Trust invests in sectors, such as healthcare, publishing, business equipment and services, cable and satellite television, and chemicals and plastics. Eaton Vance Floating-Rate Income Trust's investment advisor and administrator is Eaton Vance Management.
