Description

Employers Holdings, Inc. (EHI) is a holding company and is the successor to EIG Mutual Holding Company (EIG). The Company is engaged in a specialty provider of workers’ compensation insurance focused on select small businesses engaged in low to medium hazard industries. Workers’ compensation is a statutory system under which an employer is required to provide coverage for its employees’ medical, disability, vocational rehabilitation and death benefit costs for work-related injuries or illnesses. The Company distributes its products through independent agents and brokers and through its strategic partnerships and alliances. The Company operates in a single reportable segment with 17 territorial offices serving 29 states, including concentrations in California, Florida and Nevada. In October 2008, EHI acquired AmCOMP Incorporated.
