CIPAN Companhia Industrial Produtora de Antibioticos SA (CIPAN) is a Portugal-based company active in the pharmaceutical sector. The Company specializes in the research, development, production and commercialization of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API). Its activities include API fermentation and organic synthesis. The Company's products can be broken down into three categories: Fermentation, including potassium clavulanate and demeclocycline hydrochloride; Chemical Synthesis, representing the core products of the Company, including minocycline hydrochloride and doxycycline hyclate; as well as Sterile Products, such as potassium clavulanate. CIPAN�s chemical and downstream operations include ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, salt conversion and crystallization, among others. As of December 31, 2010 the Company was part of the AtralCipan Group.
