Danone SA, formerly Groupe Danone SA, is a France-based company engaged in the food processing sector. The Company produces fresh dairy products, beverages, baby food and clinical nutrition products. Its portfolio of brands and products includes Activia, a probiotic dairy product line; Danette, a brand of cream desserts; Nutricia, an infant product line; Danonino, a brand of yoghurts, and Evian, a brand of bottled water, among others. Danone SA operates worldwide through a number of subsidiaries, comprising the wholly owned Danone GmbH, Danone Dnipro, Danone Hayat and Zywiec Zdroj, as well as Nutricia Baby OY Ltd, Milupa SA and others. In April 2009, the Company sold its 50% interest in ABI Holdings Limited (held through the Britannia Brands Limited) to Wadia Group. ABI Holdings Limited holds an effective 50.96% interest in the Company.
