NicOx SA is a France-based biopharmaceutical company engaged in the research, development and future commercialization of investigational drugs for the treatment of cardiometabolic and inflammatory diseases. It specializes in the nitric oxide-donating technology. The Company focuses on the development of nitric oxide-donating drugs in two main areas: inflammation and cardiometabolic. NicOx SA’s main products include Naproxcinod and NCX 6560. Naproxcinod is a nitric oxide-donating compound, which is used in the treatment of signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis. NCX 6560 is a nitric oxide-donating derivative of a commonly used statin drug. The Company operates through two wholly owned subsidiaries: NicOx Research Institute Srl, based in Italy, and NicOx Inc, based in the United States. The Company has research alliances with Merck & Co, Inc., Pfizer Inc and Grupo Ferrer Internacional SA and co-development agreements with Orexo AB and TOPIGEN Pharmaceuticals Inc.
