co.don AG is a Germany-based company active in the tissue engineering field of regenerative medicine. The Company manufactures cell-based biological drugs for the use in orthopedic and neurosurgical applications. Its products are used for the treatment of focal particular cartilage defects, lumbar disc herniation, non-union fractures and dental disorders. They include co.don chondrotransplant that is used for cartilage treatment, particularly in the knee area; co.don chondrosphere, which is three-dimensional articular cartilage cultivated outside of the body; co.don chondrotransplant DISC applied for the regeneration of intervertebral discs, and co.don osteotransplant DENT that is an autologous bone cell transplant for dental applications. On March 11, 2008, co.don AG established its wholly owned subsidiary, co.don schweiz gmbh that is responsible for marketing of the Company’s products on the Swiss market.
