Eaton Vance Senior Income Trust (the Trust) is a non-diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Trust’s investment objective is to provide a high level of current income, consistent with the preservation of capital. It invests at least 80% of its total assets in senior, secured floating-rate loans (senior loans). The Trust may also invest in second-lien loans and high-yield bonds. It invests primarily in below investment-grade, floating-rate loans and floating-rate debt obligations. The Trust invests in industries, such as healthcare, business equipment and services, cable and satellite television, leisure goods/activities/movies, and publishing. The Trust’s investment advisor and administrator is Eaton Vance Management (EVM). The Trust may invest in Cash Management Portfolio (Cash Management), an affiliated investment company managed by Boston Management and Research (BMR), a subsidiary of EVM.
