Evercore Partners Inc. (Evercore) is an investment banking company. The Company is a holding company, which owns a controlling equity interest in Evercore LP. It provides advisory services to multinational corporations on significant mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings and other corporate transactions. Evercore also includes an investment management business, through which it manages private equity funds and institutional assets for institutional investors, and provides wealth management services for individuals. The Company operates in two business segments: advisory and investment management. In July 2008, the Company acquired a 50% stake in Evercore Pan-Asset Capital Management (Pan), a wealth management firm providing asset allocation advisory services and products to high net-worth individuals, charities and endowments.
