EXACT Sciences Corporation develops deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA)-based technologies for use in the detection of cancer. The Company has selected colorectal cancer as the first application of its technologies. The Company has licensed certain of its technologies, on an exclusive basis through December 2010, to Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings (LabCorp). LabCorp developed and commercially offered PreGen-Plus, its first generation non-invasive stool-based DNA colorectal cancer screening service for the average-risk population.
