Estes Express makes a business out of beating expectations. Founded during the Depression with a Chevy truck, the company has grown into a multiregional less-than-truckload (LTL) freight hauler. Its fleet of some 6,600 tractors and 24,600 trailers operates via a network of 210 terminals dotting the US. Service in Canada is provided by TST Overland Express, an ExpressLINK partner, and in Mexico through affiliate Almex. Estes Express works with designated carriers to offer door-to-door delivery in the Caribbean and in Mexico. Subsidiary Estes Forwarding Worldwide services ocean/air freight forwarding. The company is owned and run by the family of founder W.W. Estes.
