The Company, through its subsidiaries, performs principal operations, which include education, business information and consumer publishing markets. Pearson consists of three businesses across the world: Pearson Education is a provider of educational materials and learning technologies. It provides test development, processing and scoring services to governments, educational institutions, corporations and professional bodies around the world; FT Group provides business and financial news, data, comment and analysis, in print and online, to the international business community; and Penguin Random House consists of adult and children�s fiction and nonfiction print and digital book publishing businesses of Penguin and Random House. Pearson Education operated through three segments: North American Education, International Education and Professional.
