Ferrellgas Partners was formed to acquire and hold a limited partner interest in the operating partnership. The operating partnership was formed to acquire, own and operate the propane business and assets of Ferrellgas, Inc. (general partner), a wholly owned subsidiary of Ferrell Companies, Inc. The Company is a distributor of propane and related equipment and supplies to customers primarily in the United States. The Company’s operations primarily include the distribution and sale of propane and related equipment and supplies with concentrations in the Midwest, Southeast, Southwest and Northwest regions of the United States. The portable tank exchange operations, branded under the name Blue Rhino, are conducted through a network of independent and partnership-owned distribution outlets.
