Forsyth Medical Center learns from hindsight, but operates with foresight. One of the largest hospitals in North Carolina, Forsyth Medical Center (FMC) is a tertiary care hospital with about 960 beds. It provides Winston-Salem and Thomasville area patients with such health care services as behavioral health, emergency care, rehabilitation, and surgical procedures. The medical center also operates a network of community health centers including Medical Park Hospital (about 20 beds), Thomasville Medical Center (150 beds), and outpatient and physician clinics. Forsyth Medical Center became part of Novant Health in 1997.
