Solarvalue AG is a Germany-based company active in the photovoltaic market. Its scope of business is to supply raw materials to the solar industry. At present, the Company is committed to the production of solar silicon for the manufacture of crystalline solar cells through its own developed process. Silicon obtained through this process is called Upgraded Metallurgical Silicon (UMG). As of December 31, 2008, the Company had three wholly owned subsidiaries, including Solarvalue Distribution GmbH in Berlin, Germany, SV Malta Holding Limited, Malta, and SVH Holding Limited, Dubai. It also had two majority owned subsidiaries, including Solarvalue Proizvodnja d.d, Slovenia, and Sunovation Ges. fuer regenerative Energiesysteme mbH i.I., Germany.
