Description

Federal Signal Corporation is engaged in designing and manufacturing a range of products and integrated solutions for municipal, governmental, industrial and commercial customers. The Company’s portfolio of products includes safety and security systems, vacuum loader vehicles, street sweepers, truck mounted aerial platforms and water blasters. During the year ended December 31, 2008, the Company operated manufacturing facilities in 21 plants in nine countries globally serving customers in approximately 100 countries in all regions of the world. The Company operates in three business segments: Safety and Security Systems, Fire Rescue and Environmental Solutions. In July 2009, the Company completed the sale of Ravo Holding B.V., a manufacturer of compact street sweepers located in the Netherlands, to Fayat Group.
