Description

Forest Oil Corporation (Forest) is an independent oil and gas company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development, and production of oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids in North America. As of December 31, 2011, Forest's total estimated proved oil and gas reserves were approximately 1,904 billions of cubic feet equivalents. As of December 31, 2011, approximately 97% of the Company�s estimated proved oil and gas reserves were in the United States. Its core areas consist of a portfolio of tight-gas sands, carbonates, and shale plays with multiple stacked-pay opportunities in the United States that have exposure to oil, natural gas liquids, and natural gas. During the year ended December 31, 2011, it acquired 126,000 gross acres (114,500 net) prospective for oil production in the Permian Basin. Effective January 1, 2013, the Company sold its properties in South Texas.
