The Company is focused on the application of functional genomics to enable early diagnosis and personalized therapeutic intervention based on disease-specific biomarkers. The Company is operating biomedical research business. GeneNews Corporation, GeneNews Inc. and GeneNews (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., a Malaysian corporation. are the wholly owned subsidiaries of the Company. During the year ended December 31, 2008, the Company is engaged in a two-year research collaboration agreement with an Asian biomedical consortium to identify and validate a set of biomarkers in the area of prostate disease.
