The Company’s principal activities include the provision of genetic testing services and canine reproductive services. The Company also conducts out-licensing of its intellectual property relating to non-coding deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), and research and development in the areas of genetics and related fields. The Company operates in four segments: operations, which involves the provision of a range of genetic testing and canine reproductive services; licensing, which involves the out-licensing of non-coding technology; research, which involves the undertaking of a range of research and development projects in the field of genetics and related areas, and corporate, which involves the management of the Company’s corporate activities. On August 27, 2008, GTG sold its entire interest in the North Laverton Joint Venture to its partner, Regis Resources Limited.
