Description

Genomic Health, Inc. (Genomic Health) is a life science company focused on the development and commercialization of genomic-based clinical diagnostic tests for cancer that allow physicians and patients to make individualized treatment decisions. The Company’s diagnostic test, Oncotype DX, is used for breast cancer patients to predict the likelihood of cancer recurrence and the likelihood of chemotherapy benefit and is conducted at the Company’s clinical reference laboratory in Redwood City, California. Genomic Health offers Oncotype DX as a clinical laboratory service, where it analyzes the expression levels of 21 genes in tumor tissue samples in the laboratory and provides physicians with a quantitative gene expression profile expressed as a single quantitative score, which it calls a Recurrence Score.
