Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. is a provider of Internet Protocol (IP) based digital satellite communication and networking products and services. The Company designs, produces and markets very small aperture terminals (VSATs), and related VSAT network equipment. VSATs are earth-based terminals that transmit and receive broadband, Internet, voice, data and video via satellite. Gilat Satellite Networks has a large installed customer base and have shipped more than 750,000 VSAT units to customers in over 85 countries on six continents. The Company’s products are primarily sold to communication service providers and operators that use VSATs to serve enterprise, government and residential users. Also, in the United States and certain countries in Latin America, Gilat Satellite Networks provides services directly to end users in various market segments. The Company has three business units: Gilat Network Systems (GNS), Spacenet Inc. and Spacenet Rural Communications (SRC).
