General Metals Corporation is an exploration-stage company primarily engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of mineral properties. The Company owns a 100% undivided leasehold interest in the Wilson-Independence Gold – Silver Mine (the Independence Mine), situated in the Battle Mountain Mining District, Lander County, Nevada. The property consists of 14 whole and fractional mining claims encompassing 240 acres. As of April 30, 2009, there were no proven or probable reserves associated with the Independence Mine. The Company has a wholly owned subsidiary, General Gold Corporation. On October 31, 2008, the Company entered into an agreement with Sunergy, Inc., in which the Company sold all of its rights to the 150-square kilometers Nyinahin Mining Concession, located near Bibiani, Ghana.
