Hudson Highland Group, Inc. (Hudson) is a specialized professional staffing and talent management solutions providers. The Company provides professional staffing services on a permanent and contract consulting basis and a range of talent management services to businesses operating in many industries. The Company helps its clients in recruiting and developing employees for professional-level functional and managerial positions. The Company is organized into three segments: Hudson Americas, Hudson Europe and Hudson Asia Pacific. During the year ended December 31, 2008, these segments constituted approximately 16%, 47%, and 37% of the Company’s gross margin, respectively. On May 1, 2008, the Company completed the sale of its assets of Balance Public Management B.V. (BPM), a division of Balance Ervaring op Projectbasis, B.V. (Balance), a subsidiary of the Company, which was part of the Hudson Europe regional business.
