Western Asset High Income Fund Inc. (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund seeks to maintain a high level of current income by investing at least 80% of its net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in high-yield debt securities issued by United States, and foreign corporations and foreign governments. As a secondary objective, the Fund seeks capital appreciation. The Fund may invest up to 50% of its total assets in non-United States dollar-denominated securities. It invests in sectors, such as consumer discretionary, industrials, energy, financials, telecommunication services, utilities, materials and healthcare. Legg Mason Partners Fund Advisor, LLC (LMPFA) is the Fund’s investment manager, and Western Asset Management Company (Western Asset) is the Fund’s sub-adviser. LMPFA and Western Asset are wholly owned subsidiaries of Legg Mason, Inc.
