Description

Himax Technologies, Inc (Himax) is a holding company that operates through its wholly owned subsidiary, Himax Technologies Limited (Himax Taiwan). Through Himax Taiwan and its subsidiaries, the Company designs, develops and markets semiconductors that are critical components of flat panel displays. Its principal products are display drivers for large-sized thin film transistor liquid crystal displays (TFT-LCD) panels, which are primarily used in desktop monitors, notebook computers and televisions, and display drivers for small and medium-sized TFT-LCD panels, which are primarily used in mobile handsets and consumer electronics products, such as netbook computers (typically 10 inches or below in diagonal measurement), digital cameras, mobile gaming devices, portable digital versatile disc (DVD) players, digital photo frame and car navigation displays. The Company also offers display drivers for panels using OLED technology and LTPS technology.
