Mongolia Energy Corporation Limited is an investment holding company. The Company, through its subsidiaries, is engaged in energy and metal resources exploration, coal operations and other related operations. As of March 31, 2012, the Company owned approximately 330,000 hectares of concession areas in Western Mongolia at Khushuut, Darvi, Gants Mod, Olon Bulag, Govi-Altai and Banyan-Ulgii for coal, ferrous and non-ferrous metals resources. Its principal project is the Khushuut Coking Coal Project, which is located in Khovd province, Western Mongolia. The Company operates through coal mining business.
