Home BancShares, Inc. (HBI) is a bank holding company. The Company is primarily engaged in providing a range of banking services to individual and corporate customers through its five wholly owned community bank subsidiaries. The bank subsidiaries have locations in central Arkansas, north central Arkansas, southern Arkansas, the Florida Keys and southwestern Florida. HBI offers a range of products and services, including around-the-clock Internet banking and voice response information, overdraft protection, direct deposit, safe deposit boxes, the United States savings bonds and automatic account transfers. As of December 31, 2008, the Company conducted business principally through 45 Arkansas branches located in central Arkansas, two branches in north central Arkansas, four branches in southern Arkansas, nine branches in the Florida Keys and three branches in southwestern Florida. On January 1, 2008, the Company acquired Centennial Bancshares, Inc. and its subsidiary, Centennial Bank.
