Description

Cigna Corporation together with its subsidiaries is a global health services organization with a mission to help customers improve their health, well-being and sense of security. The Company’s subsidiaries are providers of medical, dental, disability, life and accident insurance and related products and services. It reports the financial results of its businesses in five segments: Global Health Care, Global Supplemental Benefits, Group Disability and Life. The Company also reports Other Operations, including Corporate-owned Life Insurance. The Global Health Care segment constitutes the Commercial and Government operating segments. The Global Supplemental Benefits segment offers supplemental health, life and accident insurance products in selected international markets and the United States. Group Disability and Life segment provides group long-term and short-term disability insurance, group life insurance, accident and specialty insurance and related services.
