Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway (RWJUHR) has the people of Rahway cheering for it. Providing health care services for Rahway and 15 other communities of eastern New Jersey, the hospital has 265 beds. Founded in 1917, RWJUHR offers patients ambulatory, cardiac, geriatric, psychiatric, pulmonary, rehabilitation, and surgical services. The hospital has specialty divisions for wound healing, balance, sleep, and pain care, and it has hospice and long-term stay units. Part of the Robert Wood Johnson Health System and Network since 2003, RWJUH is also affiliated with The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey's Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
