The subsidiary of #1 cruise ship company Carnival operates more than a dozen luxury cruise ships with a passenger capacity of about 21,000 and sails to more than 320 destinations in the US along the West coast, in New England, and Alaska. It also offers service to Asia, Europe, and the Caribbean, as well as round-the-world cruises. In addition to seafaring adventure, its Holland America Tours operates almost a dozen hotels, motorcoaches and rail service in Alaska and Canada's Yukon Territory. Holland America was founded in 1873 as the Netherlands-America Steamship Company.
