Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. designs, builds, overhauls and repairs ships for the United States Navy and the United States Coast Guard. The Company is the designer, builder and refueler of nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, the builder of amphibious assault and expeditionary warfare ships. The Company�s business includes the design, construction, repair and maintenance of nuclear-powered ships, such as aircraft carriers and submarines, and non-nuclear ships, such as surface combatants, and expeditionary warfare/amphibious assault, among others. It operates through two segments: Ingalls Shipbuilding, which includes its non-nuclear ship design, construction, repair and maintenance businesses; and Newport News Shipbuilding, which includes all of its nuclear ship design, construction, overhaul, refueling and repair and maintenance businesses. Its subsidiary includes Stoller Newport News Nuclear (SN3), which is a full-service nuclear operations and environmental services company.
