iShares S&P Global Clean Energy Index Fund (the Fund) seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance of the S&P Global Clean Energy Index (the Index). The Index is designed to track performance of approximately 30 of the most liquid and tradable global companies, which represent the listed clean energy universe. The Index includes clean energy production companies and clean energy equipment and technology providers. For these purposes, the clean energy universe includes biofuel and biomass, ethanol and fuel alcohol, geothermal energy, hydroelectricity, solar and wind energy. The Fund invests in a representative sample of securities included in the Index that collectively has an investment profile similar to the Index.
