Description

InterDigital, Inc. (InterDigital) designs and develops advanced technologies for wireless communications. It has designed and developed a range of technologies that are used in digital cellular and wireless products and networks, including second generation (2G), third generation (3G), fourth generation (4G) and IEEE 802-related products and networks. It is a contributor of intellectual property to the wireless communications industry. As of December 31, 2012, InterDigital's wholly owned subsidiaries held a portfolio of over 19,000 patents and patent applications related to the fundamental technologies that enable wireless communications. Products incorporating its patented inventions include: mobile devices, such as cellular phones, tablets, notebook computers and wireless personal digital assistants; wireless infrastructure equipment, such as base stations, and components, dongles and modules for wireless devices.
