Description

Imation Corp. (Imation) is engaged in the development, manufacturing, sourcing, marketing and distribution of removable data storage media products and accessories, and sourcing and distribution of a range of audio and video consumer electronic products and accessories. The Company sells its removable data storage media products across multiple technology platforms or pillars, such as magnetic media, recordable optical media, solid state flash drives and removable and external hard drives. Imation sells its products in approximately 100 countries worldwide, primarily under the Imation, Memorex and TDK Life on Record brand names. The Company’s consumer electronic products and accessories are sold primarily under the Memorex and XtremeMac brand names, primarily in North America. On March 16, 2008, it acquired 40% minority interest in Imation Corporation Japan (ICJ). On June 30, 2008, it acquired substantially all of the assets of XtremeMac.
