Intevac, Inc. (Intevac) has two business segments: equipment and imaging instrumentation. Intevac designs, manufactures and markets magnetic media sputtering equipment to the hard disk drive industry and offers etch technology systems to the semiconductor industry. The Company is engaged in the development and manufacturing high-sensitivity imaging products and vision systems, as well as table-top and portable Raman instruments. On July 14, 2008, Intevac acquired certain assets and liabilities of OC Oerlikon Balzers Ltd. (Oerlikon).
