Phillips Foods wants to fill you up. In the business of processing crab since 1916, family-run Phillips Foods makes a line of value-added seafood products, including crabmeat and crab cakes, that are sold to restaurants and food distributors. The firm also offers spices, sauces, condiments, soups and frozen seafood appetizers and entrees for retail sale in grocery stores nationwide. Begun in 1956, the company's restaurant business boasts about two dozen seafood locations along the Eastern Seaboard that operate under such names as Phillips Seafood House and Phillips Crab House. Phillips also runs about 20 seafood buffets, express locations, and airport outlets -- some of them through franchise agreements.
