Compania Vinicola del Norte de Espana SA (CVNE) is a Spain-based company primarily engaged in the production, aging, distribution and sale of wines. The Company�s wines are produced in the Cune, Vina Real and Vinedos del Contino wineries, which are located in the autonomous communities of La Rioja and the Basque Country. Its products portfolio includes a variety of red, white and pink wines, which are marketed under the Cune, Imperial, Real de Asua, Monopole, Corona, Vina Real, Contino, Via del Olivo and Graciano brand names, among others. The Company also offers guided tourist visits to its facilities. As of March 31, 2012, the Company owned fully consolidated subsidiary CVNE Excellars SLU, as well as it also held a 50% stake in Vinedos del Contino SA, and Asua Inversiones SL was the Company�s major shareholder with 31.72% of its interest.
