Description

KEMET Corporation (KEMET) is a manufacturer of tantalum capacitors, multilayer ceramic capacitors, film capacitors, electrolytic capacitors, paper capacitors, and solid aluminum capacitors. Capacitors are an essential component of electronic circuits and are used in a variety of electronic products, including laptop and desktop computers, mobile phones, global positioning devices, base stations, routers and consumer electronics. The Company’s capacitors are also used in products, such as automobiles, military and commercial aircrafts, medical equipment, home appliances and a variety of other industrial applications. KEMET is organized into three distinct business groups: Tantalum Business Group, Ceramic Business Group, and Film and Electrolytic Business Group. Its subsidiaries include KEMET Electronics Corporation, Arcotronics Italia S.p.A and Evox Rifa Group Oyj.
