K-Fed Bancorp is a federally-chartered stock company. K-Fed Bancorp is a wholly owned subsidiary of K-Fed Mutual Holding Company, a federally-chartered mutual holding company. K-Fed Bancorp operates through its subsidiary, Kaiser Federal Bank (the Bank), a federally-chartered stock savings company, which provides retail and commercial banking services to individuals and business customers from its nine branch locations throughout California. The Bank is a community-oriented financial institution offering a variety of financial services. Its principal business consists of retail deposits from the general public and investing those funds primarily in permanent loans secured by first mortgages on owner-occupied, one- to four-family residences, multi-family residences and commercial real estate properties. The Bank originates many types of residential and commercial real estate loans. As of June 30, 2009, K-Fed Mutual Holding Company owned 66.6% of K-Fed Bancorp.
