(Lydall) along with its subsidiaries designs and manufactures specialty engineered filtration media, industrial thermal insulating solutions, automotive thermal and acoustical barriers, temperature-control equipment, medical filtration media and devices and biopharmaceutical processing components for demanding thermal/acoustical, filtration/separation and biopharmaceutical applications. The Company operates in two segments: Performance Materials and Thermal/Acoustical. On December 1, 2008, the Company announced its acquisition of DSM Solutech B.V. On September 19, 2008, the Company sold its wholly owned subsidiary, Lydall Transport Ltd. (Transport).
