Description

Lee Enterprises, Incorporated in 1950, is a provider of local news, information and advertising in primarily midsize markets, with 49 daily newspapers and a joint interest in five others, growing online sites and more than 300 weekly newspapers and specialty publications in 23 states. During the fiscal year ended September 30, 2008 (fiscal 2008), the Company sold its assets of The Daily Chronicle in DeKalb, Illinois. In fiscal 2008, the Company purchased a specialty publication and a newspaper distribution business.
