Empresa Minera Los Quenuales SA is a Peru-based mining company engaged in the extraction and production of zinc, lead and bulk concentrates. The Company operates two mining units: Unidad Minera Yauliyacu, located in Chicla, province of Huarochiri, and Unidad Minera Iscaycruz, located in Pachangara, province of Oyon. During the fiscal year ended December 31, 2007, the Company acquired 95% interests in Cordillera Exploraciones Mineras SA, a company involved in the mining exploration. In addition, the Company has agreements of sale with Glencore International AG and AYS SA. The Company’s majority shareholder is Glencore Finance (Bermuda) Ltd, with 76.89% of its shares.
