Matica PLC manufactures and distributes card personalization systems, used for a range of plastic cards, including credit and debit cards, smart cards, identification cards, security cards, subscriber identity module (SIM) cards for mobile telephones, pre-paid telephone cards, membership cards, loyalty cards, electronic payment cards, patient cards, insurance cards and gift cards. The Company also produces a range of metal plate embossing systems for the personalization of items, such as vehicle identification number plates, military dog tags and industrial products. The Company’s subsidiaries include Matica Swiss AG, Matica System S.r.l., Digicard Engineering Gmbh, Matica Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., Matica China Ltd. and Matica Americas LLC. In July 2008, the Company entered into a joint venture agreement and acquired a 50% interest in Matica Americas LLC.
