Clinton Cards PLC is a United Kingdom-based company. The Company, along with its subsidiaries, is principally engaged in retailing of greetings cards plush merchandise (soft toys) and related products in the United Kingdom. This is carried out through two brands on the high street, Clinton Cards and Birthdays. During the fiscal year ended August 1, 2010 (fiscal 2010), the Company�s brand, Clinton Cards, was trading from 654 locations having acquired three and disposed of 30 stores. During fiscal 2010, the Company�s brand, Birthdays, opened 17 new stores and disposed of 21 stores. As of August 1, 2010, it had 176 Birthdays stores trading. The Company operates a transactional Website, www.clintoncards.co.uk. The Birthdays Website is principally an information-only site. The Clinton Website sells a range of gifts, which includes personalized products, party products, a selection of greetings cards for everyday and seasonal occasions and a selection of flowers.
