Gold Oil operates in the United Kingdom, Spain and South America. As of April 30, 2009, its subsidiaries included Gold Oil Peru S.A.C, Gold Oil Caribbean Limited, Ayoopco Ltd, Red River Capital Advisors SA, Nexxus Energy Corporation, Inversiones Petroleras de Colombia SA and Plectrum Petroleum Limited. In August 2008, the Company acquired Inversiones Petroleras de Colombia SA. It holds an 18.05% interest in the Nancy-Burdine-Maxine oil fields. In October 2008, the Company acquired the remaining 50% interest in Plectrum Petroleum plc. In July 2008, it drilled a second exploration well, SA-2X, on the onshore Block XXI, a kilometer north of SA-1X to test the Verdun and Palaeozoic sands.
