The Company operates in one business segment, the production of, exploration for and investment in hydrocarbons. The Company has two 50% jointly controlled entities in Nightfox Drilling LLC and Desperado Trucking Services Inc. The principal activity of both these entities is to provide equipment and machinery as part of the exploration activities. The Company’s wholly owned subsidiaries include Nighthawk Royalties LLC, Nighthawk Production LLC and OilQuest USA LLC, which are engaged in oil and gas development. On June 29, 2009, the Company disposed of its 50% interest in the Centurion project.
