Papua Mining plc (Papua) is a United Kingdom-based company, which is engaged in the exploration and development for gold and copper resources in Papua New Guinea (PNG). The Company's project include New Britain project. The Company holds approximately six exploration licenses in Papua New Guinea, which are located in the central part of New Britain Island. The Company's total area under license is approximately 1,100 square kilometers. The New Britain project licenses cover an area, which includes the Kulu-Fulleborn Trend, a northeast to southwest (NW-SE) trending belt which hosts various porphyry copper mineralization targets. The Company has interests in Exploration License 2051 (EL2051), which is a prospecting license covering an area of approximately 230 square kilometers in West New Britain Province. The Company's subsidiaries include Papua Mining Limited, Aries Mining Limited and Sagittarius Mining Limited.
